Liz's Edible Gardens
In 1999 we moved to Hollis, New Hampshire. Our village home is located on the curve of a busy street. Once home to “Lockes Ice Cream”,
the Daniel Emerson House (Circa 1744) provided the perfect setting and scale for a cottage garden.
Tucked into 1/3 of an acre, my edible gardens have been featured on New Hampshire Chronicle, New Hampshire Magazine, and New Hampshire Home magazine.
Join me at my garden gate and enter into a delightfully delicious self-guided tour of my edible gardens. See for yourself how you too can incorporate edible flowers, herbs, vegetables, and fruits into your gardens to create a sustainable, edible landscape at your home.

The Gardens
Herbs
A variety of annual and perennial herbs have found their home in my garden. Most of my herbs are culinary herbs I enjoy using in my cooking demonstrations and in herbal tea blends. Landscaping with herbs provides another useful way to feature herbs throughout the garden. |
Edible Flowers
Both perennial and annual edible flowers fill my gardens throughout the season. Roses, hollyhocks, pansies, marigolds, and daylilies are just a few of the varieties you can find throughout my gardens. Below is a link to a more complete list of edible flowers you might see in bloom when you visit. |
The Chicken Coop
In June of 2020 we became backyard chicken owners. Enjoy the photos of the chickens, the chicken coop and run, and the landscaping ideas I'll be exploring to blend the coop into our edible gardens. |
