The instant pot craze is here, are you onboard? It’s time to take out your electric pressure cooker and put it to use. Join chef Liz Barbour for a cooking class that will help take the mystery out of this amazing, time saving kitchen tool.
Class will include an introduction to the electric pressure cooker and the demonstration of two recipes.
COOK ALONG W/LIZ or watch and prepare the recipes on your own. Have your ingredients and equipment ready 10 minutes before the start of class if you would like to cook along.

RECIPE #1 FRENCH GARLIC CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS
For the Marinade
2 teaspoons Herbes de Provence -Italian seasoning or dried tarragon can be substituted
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 tablespoon Bragg Organic Apple Cider-red wine vinegar can be substituted
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon minced Garlic
1 pound chicken thighs-boneless, skinless
30 Minutes Before Class:
For Cooking
2 tablespoons Butter, salted or unsalted
8 cloves chopped Garlic
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup Basmati or Jasmine rice
1 cup rice
EQUIPMENT
6 quart electric pressure cooker-Liz will be using the Instant Pot brand-if you have an 8 quart that is fine
1 foil or metal containter-6 to 7”across( this must fit into your pressure cooker easily)
Aluminum foil
INGREDIENTS

- In a large sealable plastic bag or bowl, mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
- Add in chicken thighs and allow it to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. If you need to marinate for longer, put in the refrigerator to marinate.
For Cooking

RECIPE #2 CHOCOLATE CRANBERRY BREAD PUDDING
INGREDIENTS
Serves 6
1 1/2 cups water
1 Tablespoon butter, softened
3 eggs, beaten
½ cup sugar
1 ½ cups half- and- half or whole milk
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*4 cups bread or croissant cubes (stale bread works best. See *note below if using fresh bread)
1/3 cup dried cranberries, cherries, or raisins
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1 ½ quart souffle dish or casserole that fits in the inner pot of your pressure cooker.

1 Tablespoon butter, softened
3 eggs, beaten
½ cup sugar
1 ½ cups half- and- half or whole milk
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*4 cups bread or croissant cubes (stale bread works best. See *note below if using fresh bread)
1/3 cup dried cranberries, cherries, or raisins
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
Before Class:
- Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and placed on a cookie sheet to dry for 6 hours or up to 1 day-do not cover.

Registration includes an access link to your live, online class with Liz. Your confirmation email will include a link to a list of supplies, ingredients, and equipment to have on hand if you would like to follow along and participate throughout the instruction. The class will be delivered via Zoom web conferencing software and feature a live demonstration with Liz.
Will I need anything from home to use in the class?
If you would like to participate, you will need the ingredients and/or equipment referenced in your confirmation email. In addition, you will need a reliable internet connection as well as a computer or device with which you can access your virtual class. We recommend you arrive to class 5-10 minutes early to ensure you are able to set up your device and connection.
Can I ask questions or interact with the class?
Yes, you will be able to ask Liz questions during class. To start, your microphone will be muted to allow for a steady work flow during class.
