A great two weeks of progress.  The French doors were installed and have added so much light to the room.  I would highly recommend them for any room as a way of bringing in light.

The bookcase was constructed off-site and installed with a great deal of attention to the molding detail.  Jamie was very concerned that it match the detail of the cabinetry for a complete look.  

The cabinets were installed and look beautiful.  With the large island and full pantry still to come we will have plenty of storage.

The marble countertops were measured and installed within one weeks time.  It pays to have a designer who has a great relationship with the stone man.  The counters are honed and oiled for a soft antiqued look.  A great combination in an old house.
